The history of Grasso
Grasso has a long and successful history. The company was founded in 1858 in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands and has been growing and developing ever since. In 1992, Grasso became the leading company of the Refrigeration Division of the multinational GEA Group in Germany.

GEA Grasso GmbH
In the next six chapters we intend looking back on the history of GEA Grasso GmbH in order to give an impression of the origins of our organisation. GEA Grasso GmbH was formed from the former VEB Kühlautomat, which was based in Berlin-Johannisthal, Segelfliegerdamm 1 to 45.
This state-owned company was established almost 55 years ago on the decision of the City Council of Greater Berlin.
