GEA Refrigeration Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. announced in Suzhou Industrial Park that “GEA Suzhou Institute of Refrigeration Technologies" (in Chinese: "基伊埃工业冷冻技术学院") was officially established. Dr. Joe Zhuo, the senior expert in the refrigeration industry, was selected as the first leader of the Institute.

Mr. Hugo Blaum, President of GEA Refrigeration Technologies, Mr. Fred Chan, Managing Director of GEA Refrigeration Technologies (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and some of the Management Committee Members attended the unveiling ceremony on Feb.11, 2010.

The Institute aims at conducting all aspects of training for the needs of our GEA Industrial Refrigeration customers, including: basic knowledge of refrigeration, the typical refrigeration system flow diagram and analysis, the structure of refrigeration compressors and control systems, refrigeration compressor operation, refrigeration system operation, service & maintenance, common fault analysis and resolution, preventive maintenance, on-site training, the disintegration overhaul and so on.

The Institute is committed to improve our GEA Industrial Refrigeration users’ technical skills, provide the users with the knowledge of the proper use and maintenance of the refrigeration equipment, and effectively enhance GEA Refrigeration’s influence in the industrial refrigeration market. The Institute is also responsible for carrying out the internal training needs of GEA Refrigeration Technologies China.
 
The fist training program is scheduled to start May 2010.
